When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life.

You used to get it in your fishnets, now you only get it in your night dress. Discarded all the naughty nights for niceness. Landed in a very common crisis. Everything’s in order in a black hole, nothing seems as pretty as the past though. That Bloody Mary’s lacking in Tabasco, remember when you used to be a rascal? Oh the boy’s a slag. The best you ever had, the best you ever had, is just a memory and those dreams, weren’t as daft as they seem, not as daft as they seem, my love, when you dream them up. Flicking through a little book of sex tips, remember when the boys were all electric? Now when she’s told she’s gonna get it, I’m guessing that she’d rather just forget it. Clinging to not getting sentimental. Said she wasn’t going but she went still. Likes her gentlemen not to be gentle.
Was it a mecca dobber or a betting pencil?

My mother just described Scotland, with the same words I would describe marijuana.

My life has changed so much in the last few months. I feel like I have finally found out who I am and I am comfortable with life and where I am at in it. So far, I have broken up with my boyfriend of 2 years, I have made some new friends and have made stronger relationships with people I hadn’t really given a chance to in the first place. One problem is that I have had a lack of inspiration to rhyme, thus being a little rusty, I find it rather challenging to write down rhymes like I used to. I’ve noticed that I’ve gained weight recently, so I’ve been working out to try and get back into shape. In a week and a half I am going to Scotland to compete with my band in the World Highland Games. I am excited, but at the same time, I’d rather just go on my own, not with a band. My relationship with my mom is a lot better than it used to be. And she’s opened up to me a lot more, and I’ve opened up to her a lot more, and in that sense we’ve developed a greater amount of respect for each other. In fact, I think I’ve learned a lot about respect in the last while and I’ve grown up a lot. Summer school is going well, and biology only makes me want to know more about the many mysteries of life. Other than that, not much else is new in my life, I’ll keep you posted.

I fly like paper, get high like planes.
If you catch me at the border I got visas in my name.
If you come around here I’ll make ‘em all day.
I’ll get one done in a second if you wait.
Sometimes I think sitting on trains.
Every step I get till I’m clocking that game.
Everyone’s a winner, we’re making our fame!
Bonafide hustler making my name.

TEN things you wish you could say to different people right now:
1. You truly are my very best friend. No matter what, I believe we will always be there for each other. I know I can always rely on you, even though you aren’t very punctual.
I love you, man!
2. I have no idea what to think of you right now. You’re leading me on, and I think that maybe you like me. But I also think that you’re way out of my league. You don’t really make an effort to be around me, but you say the sweetest things. Personally, I just think that you’re a playa.
3. I absolutly adore your sense of humor! You always do something to make me laugh. I don’t know what it is. I feel as if I made a drug trip of yours bad. I want to talk to you about it, but I don’t know how to bring it up. I wish I could be better friends with you.
4. When it all boils down to it, you will always be my first love. I’m still in love with you, but I’m in love with the man I once knew, and not who I know now. It’s going to be a very long time before I get over you.
5. You have a wicked sense of style and I love hanging out with you after school. You’re a lot more mature than some grad 10’s and that’s why I think we get along so well. You always cook food for me too and get me blazed and I thank you for that! I still gotta get you back with some beers! And smoke you up some more!
6. You are very creative! You make beautiful things for people and you never go looking for problems or fights. You feel empathy for others and you always try to cheer people up. I love you for that. You’re great to talk to about my problems because it’s like you’ve been there too.
7. Girl, I never thought we’d become as close as we’ve become, but wow, I’m glad we have! You are so lively and have a great energy, and you’re so chill to be around. I really want to get to know you better and party with you more often!
8. You little ginger slut, I love you so much. I love you because you’re honest with me. You don’t hesitate to say what’s on your mind. And I appreciate that because the more people are honest with me, the more respect I have for them. You always bring a smile to my face. And I really want to chill with you more often.
9. I can’t tell whether you have or haven’t come to terms with death. I think you’re like a lost puppy dog. You put up this strong front, but I know that deep down inside you’re breaking down. I wish that you knew that I understand what you might be going through. I have empathy for you. Even thought I haven’t gone through the same shit you have, I can still feel that same pain you do. I love you girl. I stick up for you so much. But sometimes you walk all over me. I just want to get along all the time. And I want you to be more open with me. I need to know what you want from me as a friend.
